We are pleased to offer you free consultations to discuss needs, scope of project, budget, timelines, answer any questions you may have.
We will coordinate with a designer to create a plan that encompasses your ideas, needs, lifestyle, and neighborhood design. Together we can evaluate these plans to make certain it is within budget and make suggestions for improvement. There is often several revisions made until the working plans are finalized.
Once design is complete and to your satisfaction we will provide you with a detailed quote. This is followed by the contract signing and a deposit.
We take care of all permits and required documents and construction begins. At any point of construction we welcome you to visit your home as often as you like. There will be several on-site meetings and walk thru's to ensure you are satisfied at every stage.
Working with an interior designer will make this process easier. Our online selection sheets ensure our schedule and budget are on track and documents all details of choices to be made.
After construction is completed we will walk you through the home explaining how new systems work.
Warranty papers are signed and you can rest assured any further issues will be taken care of swiftly. You are ready to move in!

Malcolm Homes is a licensed residential builder and registered with the Homeowner Protection office and covered by the top warranty program available through Travelers Home Warranty. We are also a longstanding and proud member of the Canadian Home Builders Association – Central Interior, and Built Green.
No custom home is the same….which is what makes them "custom". However, an approximate timeline of 6-10 months is reasonable. There are a number of factors that can affect your homes build timeline from complexity of design and making your selection of finishings on schedule, to weather. It is important to discuss your timeline expectations upfront with your builder to ensure you are both on the same page of achieving the end result.
It is difficult to put a square foot price on a custom home. There are many variables to consider when calculating costs- the size and style of the home, selected finishes, location of building site are a few. It is reasonable to expect an approximate range of $175-225/ft2. We would be happy to answer any budget questions you may have and we can provide you with a detailed estimate free of charge, just give us a call!
